COMMITTED TO SOCIETY
Management and doctors of PRS hospital have jointly formed a forum in collaboration with LIONS CLUB INTERNATIONAL by the name Lions Club of Trivandrum-PRS PRIDE. Some of the major programs of the PRS PRIDE is given below.
- On 17th August 1998, an eye camp was conducted attended by nearly 200 patients.Out of which 20 patients were sent for free surgical treatment including free intra ocular lenses implantation.Further Rs.250/- was provided to meet the incidental expenses.
- Medical check ups have been extended to 62 Orphans of the Sankara Bala Ashram on monthly basis.
- Hepatitis B vaccination to 1500 people were provided on 15th November 1998.
- Free medical camp on 5th march 2000 covering all the specialties of the hospital.
- A third dose of Hepatitis B Vaccine was administrated to 500 adults and 200 children.
- On the World Diabetes Day (14 th November) in the year 2001 a free diabetes detection camp was held and free medication for 10 days were provided.
- On 28th August 2002, the PRS PRIDE handed over to Hon: Health minister Sri. P. Sankaran the keys to the two general wards of Vizhinjam Taluk Hospital near Trivandrum, renovated at a cost of Rs. 1.0 lakhs.
- The electification work of the new computer lab at Government Tamil V&HSS & TTI Chaai School was undertaken by PRS hospital. The inauguration function was held on 4.11.2009. (Click to view pictures)
