The hospital inaugurated with Departments of Pediatrics ,Obstetrics & Gynecology.

1987…

Departments of General Medicine ,Ophthalmology General surgery and Orthopedics were started

Departments of ENT Physiotherapy and Skin & VD were commissioned.

1990…

Department of Cardiology with ICCU was started.

1991…

Department of Plastic Surgery became operational.

1994…

New out patient block, Sate-of-the-art Operation theater complex and CCR was commissioned.

1996…

Department of Urology started functioning and new ICU was inaugurated.

1997…

Chest and allergy departments became operational.

2000…

Neurology department started functioning. The in -patient block expanded to hold 175 beds.

ISO 9001-2000 Quality management system was started.

2002…

Executive Health Check-up plan and Well women clinic was launched.

PRS hospital has been accredited by

BVQI for ISO 9001-2000

certification on 20th September 2002.

The Hospital was licensed to commence BLOOD BANK on 23rd November 2002

A well appointed clinic for immunization program for infants were started on 30th Nov 2002 and named
"WELL BABY CLINIC"

February 12 - PRS HOSPITAL Blood Bank was Inagurated

November 14 - Vascular Profile Diagonostic Facility was Commissioned

Podiatric Clinic (Diabetic Foot Clinc) Started functioning

Breast Clinic started Functioning

November 21 - Nephrology Department and Dialysis ward was commissioned

July 6th - Ground floor of the NEW NORTHERN BLOCK housing Out patient Registration Counters , Pharmacy extension counter and Imaging Department comprising of Duel slice CT scan , Color Doppler and Endoscope rooms were inaugurated by Smt. LIZZIE JACOB I.A.S in presence of Smt. Krishnammal Ratnaswamy , Distinguished guests , Doctors and staffs .

2007...

17th August, 2007 - Cardiovascular Invasive & Surgical unit were opened. Inauguration of Cardiac Cath Lab and Operation Theatre Complex was carried out by Sri. V.S. Achuthanandan, Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala.

8th October, 2007 - Inauguration of Executive ward in IVth floor of Block 3 by Dr. Tiny Nair.

20th July, 2008 - 500 Angioplasty carried out successfully by
Dr. N. Prathap Kumar.

26th November 2008 PRS blood was licensed to process Blood components along with Whole blood and is now known as Department of Transfusion Medicine.

PRS cardio Concord was projected on the International scenario by Participating in a live TELEMEDICINE International conference on Interventional Cardiology Linking UK , Belgrade, New Delhi and PRS Hospital Trivandrum .
The PRS Cardio Concord also had Distinguished Visitors Dr.Imad Sheiban from Italy and Dr.E.Grenadier from Israel , both are well known Interventional Cardiologist .
2008
on 17th December 2008 , first STENT GRAFT implantation was carried out at PRS Cardio Concord by a team of interventional cardiologists lead by Dr. PRATHAP KUMAR, Dr. JEYAKUMAR and Dr ISAAC MAMMEN with the help of Cardiac Surgeon Dr. MOHAN KRISHNAN and Cardiac anesthetist Dr. ASHOK JAYARAJ.

Department of transfusion medicine to process whole Blood and Blood components was inaugurated by Padmasree Dr. M.Krishnan Nair
Retired Founder Director of RCC Trivandrum on 27th April 2009 .
