When PRS Hospital which is well known for its ‘State of the art medical care’ decided to impart quality nursing education, the PRS School of Nursing was born.
The first batch with an enrolment of 20 students started functioning from 15th June 2001. Due to our uncompro-mising attitude in providing quality education and infrastructure, we were successful in securing both INC (Indian Nursing Council) and KNC (Kerala Nursing Council) recognition. The KNC & INC enhanced the annual intake of students from 20 to 30 from 2010 onwards.
Today, as the 9th batch of our students is about to pass out, the sense of gratification is immense. We were able to train numerous students, who are now among the best nurses, working not only with PRS Hospital, but also with other famous hospitals within and outside the country.
We believe that the reason for our success is, realising the fact that education is not just theoretic
academic development, but overall personality development of the student. Special care is given to
ensure that the students develop the right attitude towards patients and gets adequate clinical
exposure as well.
