The hospital was inaugurated on 7th Sept by the then Governor. P.Ramachandran. Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Pediatrics started functioning in full swing. |

Departments of General Medicine, Ophthalmology, General Surgery and Orthopedics were commenced. |

Departments of ENT, Physiotherapy and Skin & VD were commissioned. |

Department of Cardiology with ICCU was started. |
